Tiffany Armstrong learned the hard way that you can be strong and feminine at the same time.

Now, she’s made it an integral part of her life’s work to help other women realize the same thing but in a much easier, and safer, way.

A survivor

of childhood sexual abuse
and two marriages rife with physical and verbal abuse, Tiffany knows firsthand the trauma and fear that women, especially, can undergo. And it doesn’t stop there. At the age of 20, Tiffany survived an attack – one that took place in a home with her friends, who all froze with fear of the intruder – using the only three self-defense moves she knew.

Without mastering a few simple self-defense skills, and the mindset to overcome the fear of an attack, Tiffany may not be here today. But she is, and she’s on a mission to educate and empower women to have peace of mind in avoiding and handling a physical attack, to live without fear of an attack on themselves or their children, and to walk strong everywhere they go.

Above all, Tiffany is committed to helping women find their voice. With two second-degree black belts and more than 19 years of experience teaching street-smart self-defense to over 30,000 women at seminars, corporations and schools, Tiffany strongly believes in the importance of preparedness using two facets of self-defense not often taught together: technique and mindset. These are the foundation of how she educates women.

Mindset

After her own education of anatomy, physiology, psychology and nutrition at Carroll University, Tiffany spent many years as a therapeutic exercise specialist and body therapist. Together, these experiences allow her to explain body mechanics and physics on a deeper level than most self-defense experts. Using this knowledge, Tiffany arms women with techniques to defend themselves, including knowing the most effective striking points and how to submit an attacker using joint manipulation.

Tiffany understands that it’s one thing to know techniques, but it’s another to be in the right mindset to use those learned techniques. Operating under a debilitating fear response, the first things someone loses are fine motor skills and cognitive reasoning. Tiffany has witnessed this – a friend at the party where she was attacked froze in fear, even with a fourth-degree black belt. From her own experience and psychology background, Tiffany understands this all-important mindset aspect to self-defense and has a proven record of helping women move beyond their fear in order to protect themselves.

THE FACTS PAINT
A BLEAK PICTURE:

One in three women will be
accosted or attacked in her lifetime.
Someone is sexually assaulted
every 98 seconds.

82

Out of 100 incidents are reported by women.

THE OTHER FACTS ARE THAT

Most women fear many day-to-day occurrences: the sound of knocking on their door, especially at night; a man walking too closely; and even just the simple
act of walking, whether it’s through parking lots, in parking garages, to a car, or around the neighborhood. Women who are mothers experience heightened
fear – they also worry about the safety of their children.
Knowing that 90 percent of self-defense is strategically preventing an attack in the first place, Tiffany seeks to paint a new picture for women through street-smart self-defense techniques and mindset training. This picture is brighter and more powerful. It inspires peace of mind, confidence and fearlessness. It takes females from women to superwomen, from moms to supermoms, and from entrepreneurs to bosses who mean business.

By getting real about things like how attackers choose their victims, the mindset that will help ward off a potential attacker, how burglars case homes, how to stage your home with self-defense tools, how to overcome your fear response, and essential physical techniques, Tiffany ultimately seeks to paint a picture that will lower these sobering statistics and helping the world become a safer place to live.
A resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Tiffany shares her knowledge of self-defense and breaking out of victim mentality at seminars and events throughout her local community and around the country. She is the vice president of her family’s company, Pop-A-Lock Locksmiths and Security, and volunteers with Veteran Success Project, New Life Center, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She has taught kickboxing, spin, yoga, Pilates, and weightlifting, and she was a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

At the heart of her many endeavors, Tiffany is passionate about self-improvement through personal development – and she is paying that forward by helping women understand their worth, teaching them how to set healthy boundaries, and giving them the tools to move beyond fear into owning their innate power.
